Adjusting the retention period of SMS logs

Within Smstools, all incoming and outgoing SMS messages are automatically stored in logs. These logs include information such as sending times, delivery statuses and received messages.

Default retention period

By default, we store these SMS logs for 24 months. After this period, the data is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.

Step by step

Once you are logged into the Smstools system, go to the menu and select Extra and then Security.

Once you click on Security, you will arrive at the screen shown below. From there, go to the GDPR Settings tab. Here you can set your desired retention period.

PLEASE NOTE

Deleted data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. We are also unable to restore this data once it has been deleted.

Do you work with highly sensitive data and is even a retention period of one month not desirable? Then please contact us for a custom solution.
