# How to create a new contact group

With Smstools, you can organize your contacts into groups. This makes it easier to send messages to multiple recipients at once, for example customers, employees, or members of an organization.
# Step 1: Go to Contacts
1. Click **Contacts** in the left-hand menu.
2. Then click the green **Add group** button.

# Step 2: Create a new group

1. Enter a **name** for your group (for example: *Customers*, *Staff*, or *Newsletter*).
2. In this example, we will use the name **"New groupname"**.
3. Click the **Save** button to create the group.

# Step 3: Add contacts to the group
After creating the group, you can add contacts to it.
You can do this in several ways:

* **Manually** add a new contact.
* Select **existing contacts** and link them to the group.
* **Import an Excel file** to add multiple contacts at once.


# Step 4: Send an SMS to the group

1. Click **Send** in the left-hand menu.
2. Select the group you just created.
3. Add your **message content**.
4. Click **Send** to send the SMS to the entire group.

**Tip:** Use clear group names so you can easily select the right audience when sending messages.
